No medals, no podium, no crowd. The real win wasn’t in finishing. It was in the weeks leading up to each event when I got out of bed sore, when I trained in silence, ran in the cold rain…when no one was watching.
It was battling through the doubt of running 46km in the Dandenong Mountains and 14 days later running 60kms along the beach trails in Portland.
It was changing the internal message from “why do it”
