  • Whatever your reason is for seeking a coach, or even just considering one, it is yours and yours only. But sometimes, it takes another person to see the forest through the trees. You cannot possibly be objective about your own life and your own self!

A life coach is not there to tell you how to live your life.

Your coach's role is to make you realise what truly matters to you, what you need more or less of, what you really want your life to be about and ensure you don’t just dream about it. You ACT on it.

A life coach is not meant to give answers to your questions. He/she is meant to pose questions that allow you to rethink answers you fabricated, or that you were fed, that you never even thought of questioning. (read this again)

The coaching process WILL uncover way more about you than you think: your limiting beliefs, your narrative, your life story, your values, your aspirations… and some things will come out of that exercice that you will not expect.

  • There’s an estimated 71,000 professional coaches worldwide and Google will certainly not help if you’re doing a search for "life coach" (overwhelming much?). It’s an increasingly popular occupation but the reality is (no disrespect to my fellow coaches out there) not all coaches are created equal!

Aside from the obvious research into their legitimate/certified coaching skills, story and experience, the answer is: it will depend on what you need to change and focus on!

Most coaches will have unique value proposition and some form of specialisation in their method. Find one that aligns with you and your needs.
